Botuo People Advancing Toward a Learning Organization

Learning should be a belief, and one must possess the ability for self-evolution. —— Foreword (Botuo Internal Training PPT)

When the Earth has become a global village, the connections between the world have become tighter than ever, complexity has become a key feature of this era. In this fast-changing business world, to avoid being eliminated, continuous learning is essential, not only for individuals but also for organizations.

Peter Senge's 'The Fifth Discipline' is regarded as the origin of learning organizations. He proposed five disciplines of learning organizations: self-transcendence, improving mental models, establishing a shared vision, team learning, and systems thinking.

Internal Department Training

Boteirni, being in line with the era's trend, naturally needs to keep learning, thus initiating various training sessions of different sizes and durations. I reviewed the company's training records and found recent training topics include: Team Building and Management, CAD Drawing, Changing Yourself, Pump Operation and Issues, PPT Creation, Time Management, QC Techniques, Problem Awareness, 5S, 5WHY, etc. Although Boteirni mainly focuses on the development of high-performance plunger pumps and high-pressure washers, the training topics are not all product-related.

Team learning can cultivate collective skills that transcend individual perspectives, enabling a broader view. This was also touched upon during my attendance at the Material Department's team training on Wednesday evening. The department head, Jiang Wenjun, suggested to his subordinates to spend time learning from other departments 5-10 times a month, such as learning product assembly techniques and inspection techniques. If we lack a broader perspective and only stick to our duties, coordination between departments may encounter problems.

Everyone is studying attentively...

Building a learning organization is not an easy task. Peter Senge even identified seven obstacles, such as "limited thinking; blaming external factors; failing to recognize the threat of gradual change". However, we should not stop just because of the difficulties, but rather face them head-on. Recently, Botou Rini Company has established the Botou Institute internally, marking another step forward in our journey.

CAD Drafting Training Grand Classroom

The construction of a learning organization has no ultimate goal; it is a lifelong learning process, learning until old age. Therefore, the entire process requires great patience and perseverance. But there's nothing to worry about, as long as we find the right path, the distance is not a problem. We are the Botou people advancing toward a learning organization.
